“Somdej Phra Maha Theeracharn, formerly Prasit, was born on May 24, 1940 at Ban Yang Noi, Kho Ae Sub-district, Khuang District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. He is now 87 years old. In 1941, he completed his fourth grade education at Prachaban School (Phrom Pittaya), Ban Yang Noi, Kho Ae Sub-district, Khuang Nai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
In 1941, he was able to get undergraduate dhamma examinations.
In 1942, the examination was conducted by a master class dhammer in Wat Yang Noi School, Pho Ae Sub-district, Keng Nai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
Later in 1943, the first class of Dharma students were examined in Wat Manee Wanaram School, Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
In 1958, the examination was conducted in a three-sentence prejudice in the Office of the Imperial Temple, Raja Waswara, Mahaviharn, Bangkok.
Then, in 1960, he graduated from Pali University, Mahachulalongkorn University, Bangkok Royal College.
As an aspirant and committed to education, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Theerajarn has researched and sought deep knowledge in many disciplines, including Buddhism, social development, astronomy, astrology, and administration. The clergy can use those knowledge to solve problems for Buddhists, both Thai and foreign, and have been awarded honorary doctorates in many areas, such as:

Prakun Somdej Phra Maha Theerachan is a Phra Thera who plays an important and valuable role in social work and holds the position of Maha Therra Public Support Department. The association has implemented a policy to help the Buddhist people by leading clergy throughout the country to carry out programs to help people in distress and has organized a system to help people in need in almost every situation.
Since 2016, we have implemented and put in place a policy on public assistance to ensure the quality and clarity of the Buddhism Principles. In addition, we have directed clergy across the country to monitor and be aware of the suffering of the people by bringing clergy to help people suffering from various disasters such as floods, floods, fires, as well as those suffering from causes to support the elderly, disabled and disadvantaged people in many areas throughout the region of Thailand.
Chao Prabun Somdej Mahathirajarn has used both Buddhist knowledge, experience, and knowledge in many disciplines to help the people as a role model. The monks, social workers, have appointed a working group to carry out such a policy into practice. The Mahatheri Society's Public Service Center is established as a central office, and the clergy have set up a provincial public service center to help society according to Buddhism.He was also the first president of the Assembly of Thai Buddhists in the United States to have the principles of the organization and establish a religion that was useful to the clergy. He carried out religious missions to support Thai Buddhists in the United States and all Asians in almost every state. He was also the patron president and advisor in the construction of Lao Buddhist temples and the Cambodian Buddhist temples of Illinois, thus laying the foundation for those monasteries to be a source of support for the people living in the United States to have a stable place of refuge.
Importantly, HRH Princess Maha Theeracharn is considered an important statue of Ubon Ratchathani province and has been a valuable contributor to the development of Ubon Ratchathani province. For example, he has taken personal factors and believers to help flood victims in Ubon Ratchathani province in 2021, urgently carried out public health development for Ban Yang Noi community, conservation of forest and nature to address drought, and promote careers for the people of Khuang District in the initiative and presided over the construction of the hospital. 50Bannasa Mahavajiralongkorn managed to solve the problem of public lands for public use development, creating an educational park and a park to celebrate Phra Kiat Kanchanaphisek in the area of Ubon Ratchathani province, as well as being the Chairman of the Development Committee for the Arts Promotion Project, Ban Yang Noi, Ubon Ratchathani Province, in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 72nd Birthday Anniversary.
Prasad Somdej Mahathiracharn is a person who adheres to Phra Dhamma Winai with wisdom and has used his knowledge in various sciences to solve problems for both Thai and foreign people, especially the people of Ubon Ratchathani province. The benefits to the public are evident. There is a merit to the public support of the Thai clergy and facilitates the improvement of the quality of life of the people in Ubon Ratchathani province for more than 50 years.Adhering to public assistance as one of the core principles in the field of social sciences and development, the results of valuable actions are evident and widely accepted.
With the aforementioned merit, the Ubon Ratchathani University Council, at its meeting No. 10/2567 (Secret) on 26 October 2024, humbly presented an honorary doctorate of philosophy in the field of social sciences and development to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej in recognition and honor. ”
