Ubon Ratchathani University by the Department of Mathematics and Digital Technology, Faculty of Science, provides academic services and lecturers to 120 executives, educational personnel and teachers under the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Office of Learning Promotion in Sakdidet Room, Sukhothai Thammathirat University's Resource and Community Relations Center, Ubon Ratchathani Province on September 2, 2026.

The event was held on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the founding of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University under the theme “48 years MSc, transforming distance education, creating lifelong learning opportunities”
The event was honored by Assistant Professor Dr. Thanapan Thani, Director of the Center for Academic and Community Relations Ubon Ratchathani presided over and gave a special lecture on the topic “MSDHS. and NSTDA to drive lifelong education in the digital age.”

While the team of lecturers from Ubon Ratchathani University consists of Assistant Professor Dr. Chatchawin Namman and Dr. Sompong Veluwanathorn, lecturers in Information Technology and Digital Innovation Program, Department of Mathematics and Digital Technology, Faculty of Science, to transfer knowledge and practice using AI tools to create educational materials.
The training focuses on hands-on learning by choosing tools that are available free of charge at the Free Tier level, including:Gemini and CanvaTo simplify technology and enable teachers to apply it effectively.

Participants practiced using Gemini AI to conceptualize and design Active Learning activities, including writing instructions for AI to draft a learning management plan for one class in line with the curriculum and metrics before bringing their content, worksheets, and activity challenges to Canva.

You'll also learn to paginate, booklet, and design graphics for worksheets and technical activity sheets, and concisely summarize lessons with complex content. You can use design aids in Canva to create instructional slides, as well as tailor and present your work for learning objectives.
Assistant Professor Dr. Chatchawin NammanHe said that the development of skills in media creation and classroom management is an urgent matter for educational personnel. Therefore, this training is designed to allow participants to experiment with real tools and can bring their work into the online media library system to exchange learning between the network of teachers.
This event reflects the collaboration between Ubon Ratchathani University, Sukhothai Thammathiratirat University and the Office of Learning Promotion in bringing AI and digital innovation to support education management while expanding lifelong learning opportunities in line with the changes in the digital age.
