Announcement of Temporary Animal Rabies Epidemic Zones

On 7 February 2025, Ms. Jirawan Pamuta Livestock, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani announced the designation of temporary rabies zones for rabies (Rabies) in feline animals as follows:

With the district livestock office in Ubon Ratchathani found a cat sick or dead of rabies, which is an epidemic under the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015) in the community area of Pathum School Speaker 1, sub-district in the city, Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, with the tendency to spread to neighboring or endemic areas by moving animals or animals that are endemic or carriers of epidemics by virtue of Section 20 of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015).Mueang Ubon Ratchathani District Medical Center has issued the following announcement.

ข้อ 2 ห้ามมิให้ผู้ใดเคลื่อนย้าย สุนัข และแมว หรือซากของสัตว์ดังกล่าว เข้า ออก ผ่าน หรือภายในเขตโรคระบาดชั่วคราว เว้นแต่ได้รับอนุญาตเป็นหนังสือจากสัตวแพทย์ผู้มีหน้าที่รับผิดชอบประจำเขตนั้นทุกครั้งที่มีการเคลื่อนย้ายตามที่บัญญัติไว้ในมาตรา 22 แห่งพระราชบัญญัติโรคระบาดสัตว์ พ.ศ.2558

Remark:Any person who violates Section 22 shall be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to a fine not exceeding forty thousand Baht or to both under Section 65 of the Animal Disease Act B.E. 2558 (2015).
